DJ Hire

Looking for a great DJ? Below we'll cover off all the essentials for hiring the right DJ, and connect you with some of NZ's most popular DJs. We've been supplying DJ entertainment for weddings and events since 2008, and offer New Zealand's largest range of professional DJ talent. If you'd rather browse talent immediately, check out our range of Auckland DJs for hire here.

DJ prices throughout New Zealand vary greatly. Your DJ's price will take into account where your event is happening, any travel or equipment expenses incurred, the length of performance required and additional expenses such as lighting.

Typically, you can expect to pay between $1000 and $2000 for your DJ. Top DJs (such as those with national radio shows or 10+ years experience) will command a premium.

how we work

When you book with us, we'll ask you about the atmosphere and vibe you're aiming for on the night, and the songs you have in mind. Requests from guests are welcome too! From there, your DJ will put together a setlist for the event based on those songs, as well as guaranteed dancefloor hits they know will work.

On the night, they will be reading the audience and choosing songs based on what is getting everyone dancing.

Everything is taken care of - the DJ wil arrive well before party time and set everything up, and the Find a DJ team will check in with you in the lead up to the big day to ensure we're working to your plan. With 2500 happy couples since 2008, you can be assured you're in safe hands with us.

wedding DJ services

Along with DJ services, we offer dancefloor lighting, wireless mics for speeches, playlists for the afternoon and consultation to discuss your ideal entertainment. We can also combine wedding bands and DJs for those who desire a range of entertainment.

We recommend getting in touch to discuss your ideal wedding day entertainment with us - nothing is impossible!

For corporate or private events, we would recommend booking 6 weeks prior at a minimum, but ideally 3 months prior.

Wedding dates are always very popular - typically the most popular dates being Saturdays from January through til March. For weddings, we recommend hiring your DJ 6 - 12 months prior to your wedding, to avoid disappointment and get the DJ that is perfect for you.  You may like to meet your DJ in person prior to the wedding to discuss your big day, your schedule, and any other details you feel they should be across.
