Jason Eli’s DJ career is rooted in a lifelong passion for making people move and a deep appreciation for genres spanning House, Disco, Afrobeats, R&B/Soul, Hip-Hop and beyond. Inspired early by live funk musicianship, he went on to remix tracks for global icons including Whitney Houston, perform alongside world-class DJs, and produce music for major labels such as Motown, E.M.I., and others. Jason held a four-year residency at Ministry of Sound during a defining era for underground House music, sharing the booth with influential names like Frankie Knuckles, Paul Oakenfold, Todd Terry, X-Press 2, DJ Harvey and more. He has also toured throughout Europe and the UK with pioneers including Kevin Saunderson, Kenny Carpenter and Roger Sanchez. A decade later, Jason launched his own label, Groovadelica, expanding it into a successful club night and later a radio show on George FM after relocating to New Zealand. Following six years on air with the country’s biggest dance station, he shifted focus toward producing emerging talent and performing across Aotearoa. Jason’s DJ sets are known for their soulful energy, musical depth and ability to keep the dancefloor moving from start to finish.
